[Index][MirrorMask and Labyrinth]

Two of my favorite movies, MM and Labyrinth, have a lot in common. These essays investigate the parallels.

  • “They both look the same to me”: Labyrinth at work behind the scenes in MirrorMask. Taking its title from a line in Labyrinth, this essay looks at Labyrinth's overwhelming influence on MM.
  • “Play with your toys and your costumes”: dolls and sex in Labyrinth and MirrorMask. Since I think frequently about dolls, sex, Labyrinth and MM, naturally I had to write an essay combining all of these subjects.
